TSUNAMI of 4 September 1996

A strong earthquake with a magnitude of 6.2 occurred 4 SEPT 1996
and was located in the vicinity of Ogasawara, Japan (31.5N 141E).

The earthquake produced a small tsunami that was observed at the following
locations by JMA Tokyo:
